Explorer at a variety of sizes, most popular is 45ft x 11ft 8".
The boat is an ideal live aboard and shows what can be achieved
by good design to the interior, based
on our wealth of practical experience.
45' x 11" 8" Explorer 'Galley &
Saloon' seen from opposite ends.
The Owner's Double Cabin is through the gangway in the right-hand
picture, with the
W.C/Shower compartment to the left of that. The Settee/Table
converts into a double berth
A similar Peter Nicholls Boat, developed from the Explorer
is now offered with RCD (C Class)
classification which allows for Coastal and Cross Channel
Cruising.

A 45' x 11' 8" Explorer seen Cruising

The specially designed hull means
little wash on a small wide canal like
the G.U, while the semi V bottomed
hull helps the boat to use the full
width of the canal where possible.
The aluminium wheel house is
light and easy to remove.
This boat has been trucked to the
Continent and is now based on the
Canal du Nivernais in Burgundy.
The Dawn Mist is a Peter Nicholls
wide beam craft, measuring 45ft
Loa by 11ft beam.
Commissioned in March 2000 she
is the prize possession of her
owners Iain and Linda
Interior Layout of the 45ft x 12ft Explorer "The Fool".
The design features a full size double berth
forward with access from three sides, a large
saloon with free standing armchairs and a
settee which folds to a double berth,
seperate shower and large galley.
A seperate guest cabin can be arranged by
cutting the saloon or lengthening the boat to 50ft !
